From a small kitchen in Newtown to a thriving chopt restaurant brand — here are the milestones that shaped who we are today.

2013

The First Chop

Chopt opened its doors at 2910 S Eagle Rd in Newtown, PA with a small menu, big ambitions, and a commitment to serving the freshest food possible. The community responded with warmth and the lines never stopped.

2015

Local Farm Partnerships

We formalized our first farm-to-table sourcing program, partnering with six regional farms across Pennsylvania to bring truly seasonal, hyper-local produce to our menu throughout the year.

2017

Menu Expansion & Catering Launch

After overwhelming customer demand, we expanded our menu to over 80 items and launched our catering division — bringing Chopt's fresh food to weddings, corporate events, and private parties across the region.

2019

Online Ordering & Delivery

We launched our digital ordering platform, making it easier than ever for customers to enjoy Chopt's handcrafted food at home. Our delivery zone grew to serve the entire greater Philadelphia area.

2021

Sustainability Pledge

Chopt committed to eliminating single-use plastics, achieving zero food waste through our composting partnership, and transitioning all packaging to 100% compostable materials by 2023 — a goal we hit ahead of schedule.

2024

Franchise Program Launch

Excited by our proven model, we opened Chopt's franchise program — inviting passionate food entrepreneurs across the United States to bring the same quality and community spirit to their own neighborhoods.
